We eat there every summer. Eating is always a pleasure and the service is often very friendly. However, the waiter sometimes has his bad days, e.g. when there are many guests. I don't mean this as a criticism, but rather to protect the operation.

Would have liked to have given 5 stars, great food at absolutely fair prices. Great regional cuisine. When I asked what kind of berries were on the plate when I was clearing away, the waitress could have saved himself the answer with a "It was on the menu". In general the gentleman was not very friendly. Otherwise, however, a recommendation and I'll have a look again when I get the chance.

We stopped there today due to the many positive reviews. Unfortunately we cannot share the many great reviews. We really are not overly demanding. I had grilled chicken breast with pineapple and cheese. So the cheese was very light and only melted, it was not baked, but in my opinion only briefly in the microwave. Otherwise it would have been golden yellow and crispy. My husband had roast game. Were two little pieces ... well. The waiter seemed somehow overwhelmed and hardly ever smiled. So this restaurant is not going to be our favorite restaurant. Too bad. From the outside it looks so inviting ...

On our hiking tour we passed this restaurant, unfortunately without money .. Since we liked the offer advertised there, the restaurant was quickly included in the program for the next day. We sat comfortably in front of the house and enjoyed the great food .. With wild boar roast and pikeperch we let ourselves be pampered .. The price-performance ratio is right, so that we would like to award this restaurant more than 5 *. Highly recommended kitchen, and nice service .. The waiting time was perfectly fine for the selected dishes ..

Tip !!! Was there several times within a few days, was lucky because there are few tables, many want to eat there. Cuisine is regional, game, fish, excellent home cooking! The owner's couple cooks and entertains, does a lot of things from their own (walk-in) garden itself. Anyone who comes by or goes on vacation in the beautiful Feldberg should not miss it.

Everytime a pleasure. A must for every holiday. Cozy inside or outside. Ingredients are locally sourced and freshly prepared. Service is very friendly. Highly recommended are the game dishes and the pancakes, but also all other food and drinks taste.
